Workers in God's Service

​​​​Believers, 

 

God is standing at the door and knocking, but it is up to us to open the

door and let Him in. We have to fight for the help that comes from the

Lord. Don't wait until you need God to start talking to Him. Build a

relationship with Him before you find yourself in a difficult situation.

Don't mess around or block your own blessings when you need God

because of your actions.

 

People will try to push you into doing things that you know you shouldn't be doing. Sometimes God pushes us into uncomfortable situations to get us where He wants us to be and lead us into our purpose. After Job repented, God restored his fortune and gave him twice as much as he had before. Not everything and everyone is part of our purpose. Sometimes it is necessary for us to be pushed in the direction God wants us to go.

 

God will use our fears to help us acknowledge and discover our divine purpose. Being pushed into your purpose is part of spiritual growth, and the discomfort will soon pass. Sometimes God has to push us into our divine purpose because we are not always willing to follow His plan. We sometimes want to do things our own way instead of following God's plan.

 

Our perspective has to change. Sometimes a closed door is simply God pushing us in a different direction. Discomfort can be a sign that you are on your way to something new.  Stop looking at things only in the natural and start looking at them through faith. Sometimes we stop praising God because He didn't handle a situation the way we wanted Him to. Until God becomes your first priority, you will continue falling into the same stumbling blocks. 

 

We must therefore, line up with God, trust Him, and consider it done.  Sometimes you need to be redirected, but the question is: Will you keep going after the push, or will you choose to do things your own way? When will you realize that positions and people don't mean anything to God?  Trust God that when necessary, He will push you into your

Real Talk Prayer​

​

Heavenly Father, we come before You today with humble hearts, giving You all the honor, all the glory, and all the praise. Lord God, we thank You for waking us up this morning and allowing us to see yet another day. We thank You for the breath in our lungs, the strength in our minds, and the opportunity to come together in Your house of worship.

 

Lord God, we know that we would not be here without Your grace and Your mercy. You have kept us through the night, protected us on our way here, and brought each and every one of us together. Lord, we just want to say thank You. Thank You for the blessings we see and  even the ones we don’t. Thank You for the prayers You have already answered, and thank You for the doors You have opened for each and every one of us.

 

Lord, we ask You to forgive us for the things we have done wrong, whether we did them knowingly or unknowingly. Forgive us for the times we have spoken out of anger, treated others unfairly, or failed to show love when we should have. Help us to have hearts that are willing to forgive, just as You forgive us. Teach us to be more patient, more loving, more respectful, and more obedient to Your Word.

 

Lord God, we lift up every family that is going through a difficult time. You know the families struggling, the people dealing with sickness, the ones grieving the loss of loved ones, and those who may be carrying burdens that nobody else knows about. Lord, please comfort them. Provide for those who are in need, heal those who are sick according to Your will, and give peace to those whose hearts are troubled. Remind them that they are not forgotten and that they do not have to face their struggles alone.

 

Lord, we also pray for our community and our nation. There is so much happening in this world, and sometimes it can feel like there is more hate than love. But Father, we know that You are still in control. Help us become people who bring peace instead of arguments, kindness instead of cruelty, and hope instead of discouragement. Teach us to love our neighbors, help those who are struggling, and treat every person with dignity and respect.

 

God, as we continue with this service, we ask that Your Holy Spirit has its way in this place. Let every every prayer be lifted in faith, and every word spoken to bring glory to You. Open our hearts so that we can receive the message You have for us today. Don’t let us leave this church the same way we came in. Let us leave with stronger faith, renewed hope, and a closer relationship with You.

 

Lord, when we walk out of these doors, help us carry Your presence with us. Remind us to pray when life gets difficult, to praise You when life is good, and to trust You even when we don’t understand what You are doing. Your word tells us that You are our refuge and strength, and You are a  help in any trouble. So, Lord, help us remember that no matter what we face, we can turn to You.

 

We thank You for what You have done, what You are doing, and what You are going to do. We may not know everything that tomorrow holds, but we know that we can trust the One who holds it.

 

Lord, we give You our hearts, our minds and our lives today Lord God. Have Your way within us. Let each and everything we do bring honor to Your holy name.  We ask all these things in your mighty name. Amen.​​​​
