God, we thank You for this glorious day.  Let the goodness of Your holy name shine upon us.  Let us bask in the glory of our Lord and Savior.  We give You total praise, for Your grace, for Your mercy, for Your love.  Let us spread the good news of Jesus Christ.  Thank You, Jesus, for it all.

 

God, I ask that You watch over us.  Shepherd us through, for we will get lost thinking we can find our own way.  So God, find us right where we are, and illuminate our paths with Your righteousness.  Let us call on Your name, Heavenly Father.  Because as time passes, and as we continue on this journey toward Your salvation,  we encounter things we aren’t always prepared for or privy to.

 

There are stressors that come our way that exhaust our minds, our bodies, that make our spirits feel like they’re withering.  There is loss that we endure that changes how we feel, how we move, how we see the world.  There are vices, things we sometimes turn to, thinking they will fill the void.  But God, right now, we ask for renewal in our spirits. Touch our hearts. Touch our minds. Remind us that the power of the Holy Spirit is present in the midst of trouble.

 

That the goodness of God can heal even the deepest wounds.  And that the Holy Word of our Father is available for all of us. So through everything we’re going through, God, teach us to run into Your warm embrace. And even as we run through the meadows of life, when we get pricked by thorns, let us respond like children, running back to our Father in Heaven because You are a healer.

 

When we fall, let us look to our Savior to mend what’s broken because You are our mender. If our spirits begin to wither, let us call on You, Lord because You are our redeemer.  If we find ourselves in the midst of the wilderness, lost and unsure, let us call on our Lord and Savior because You are our waymaker.

 

And when we can’t even muster the strength to keep going, remind us of Your promise, that You will carry us through. So Heavenly Father, set a reminder deep in our hearts to rejoice in the name of Jesus because time and time again, You have shown us Your goodness. So let us go out and spread the good news of our Lord and Savior.  Send a message to us, God, a reminder that You are here. That You hear our worries. That You see our concerns. That You feel our pain. And that we are not alone.

Let the goodness of God be a covering over us, like a blanket that brings peace. Let it remind us that we are Your children. And let us seek the truth of our everlasting Father, running boldly into His warm embrace. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
