ABOUT

Workers in God’s Service, known as "WinGS, Inc.” is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit religious organization, which was organized in 2004. WinGS’ ultimate purpose is to advance the kingdom of God by equipping the saints for service, and the development of spiritual gifts.

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Reverend Dianne Taybron Suggs
Pastor

Reverend Dianne Taybron Suggs is a native Carolinian and a product of the Durham Public School System. She is a graduate of United Christian College, where she earned a Bachelor of Theology Degree in Christian Education and Biblical Studies. Reverend Suggs served for many years as an instructor at United Christian College.
She is a practical preacher and teacher of the Word, with a message of hope and restoration. She is a soul winner and disciple for Christ, called by God to minister to the broken in spirit and those behind prison walls.
Reverend Suggs is the founder of “Workers in God’s Service,” known as WinGS, Inc., birthed in 2004 as a Christian, faith-based non-profit organization. WinGS is a venue that promotes spiritual maturity, physical and emotional healing and the enhancement of the gift of serving through Evangelism and Community Outreach.
After many years of avoidance, she accepted her call to Pastorship and began conducting worship services in January 2017. WinGS Outreach and Worship is a non-denominational church.
Though her personal accomplishments, acknowledgements and awards are many, her ultimate desire is to be known and remembered as a woman with a heart to serve God and His people with a "Spirit of Excellence." With over twenty-five years of experience in the financial field, she has been granted many platforms to educate and instruct in the area of "Stewardship, as a way of Life."
Reverend Suggs' life reflects her message of completeness as she balances ministry responsibilities with her duties as a wife to Charles C. Suggs for over thirty years, mother of three and proud grandmother of five.
Scripture: Philippians 4:13
"I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Fellow Believers,
As followers of Christ, it is more important than ever to stay
rooted in the one true and living God. During this Lenten
season, we must move with the expectation that we are journeying from ashes to overflow. We are leaving behind the sins of ashes and walking to Calvary’s cross. However, if we are going to walk this journey and not grow weary in well doing, if we are going to maintain our Godly principles in a world that constantly tests our faith, it is going to take prayer and a total surrender of our will to God’s plans and purpose. It will take self discipline and sacrifice. It will take our unwavering faith and trust in God for what we cannot see.
As true followers of Christ, we must understand that this walk is not sustained by emotion... but by devotion to the one and only God. I pray that your journey to the cross, will be one filled with expectation of God’s divine overflow!
Humbly,
Bro. Dayshon Bynum

Thank you for this glorious day. Show us who we are right at this very moment. Touch our hearts and soften them with your mighty hand. Lord, I ask that you clear our minds from ruin. From worry. Guide us closer to you. God, earlier this week I spoke to my grandmother and she provided me with a couple of tools from you. At the time what was on my mind was the position I felt I’ve been placed in. Feeling stagnant in where I am and what I do. Understanding that my passion isn’t gone, but my drive had declined. As I read, each of these tools’ instructions struck me. This allowed me to ask God to examine me as I was in the mist of disdain considering all I felt weighed on me. I ask that this touches our hearts. The tools stated the following:
“To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue.”
Another tool’s instructions stated: “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
Another tool’s instruction stated: “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
And another tool stated: “A person’s steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand their own way?”
And the last tool's instruction stated : “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him;”
This stopped me in my tracks with an epiphany, Lord Jesus. If I could say so myself, sometimes I get lost in my future, my present, my past, looking for escapism for the sake of what I deem as reasons to worry. Reasons to place concern. I sometimes find reason to think that what I am doing, where I am going, and what is happening as reasonings to drag and spread myself thin, losing my footing. I try to sustain my own unsettling foundations, rework my own ways thinking that I am doing the best possible thing to make myself feel better.
Lord Jesus, if I could say simply, I have taken the wrong turn, so I ask that you guide me. Continue to guide us, Lord Jesus. For we have focused on our own houses, we have seen the cracks in our unsettling foundations that only you can repair. Let me say, that I have taken more time to fixate on my house, my infrastructure, my belongings. Let me say with my very own tongue, that I have traveled far and beyond when in reality, the everlasting timbers that we all need is the true everlasting love of Jesus Christ. If I can say simply, we have wasted time basking in things that we see as important, that we may have thought was dear to us.
God let me use my voice that you have given me to say, that I will continue to tear it down right now for the preparation of your holy place. God I ask that you use me to renew your temple. Allow us to place realization in our hearts, in our minds, in the way we speak, the way we walk, the way we breathe. To use all of the strength you’ve given us to prepare your temple. Let us be a spiritual preparer for the habitat for humanity. Let us use God given materials and resources to implement your will, Heavenly Father.
Let our timbers be cut to your precision. Provide us with your holy tools, so that we know that it is you who has overlooked our preparation for your holy place. Let each brick, the mortar in which we apply and the stones that we implement, capture every detail of your work. Let the door we have inserted be only a threshold for your goodness, your mercy, your grace. Let our curtains sit along our window sills with precision so that when we look out from your temple, we see all that you have protected us from, but also the beauties of your everlasting goodness. We see the very grass that you’ve grown. We see the flowers bloom in essence of you. Let the colors even be handpicked by you. Our shingles and our siding will withhold the harsh conditions because we have placed a hard stop on building our mere houses and have gathered in fellowship to build the Lord’s temple.
Let us now see that together, we shall be blessed as we continue on preparing for you, Lord Jesus. Let us rejoice in the sight of seeing that when we lay down our overtly used tools, redirect our minds towards the Holy Spirit and use ourselves to serve You, we see the results we were looking for all along. Those results allow us to have the true peace we may have lost ourselves finding. Let us lay down our ways at your feet so we shall see the beauty of your Holy Temple. Let us see the beautiful details that Jesus Christ has given us for His dwelling. He has given us the tools for His everlasting love, so it is only right that we use them to establish His holy place. God, I ask that you touch us right where we are, for us to walk away from our broken foundations. Show us the only true way to build your temple; for we don’t have time to be wasting your precious time. Guide us with your plans and implementation on our lives and let your will be done. Amen.

CELEBRATE
BLACK HISTORY
MONTH
THIS WEEK:
BLACK HISTORY READINGS
Today is our last Sunday honoring Black History.
We’ve spent the past month being informed and highlighting our past, triumphs and victories through poetic expression. Today we continue on that same path while discussing a land we built but never felt welcomed. May our rhetoric speak to you deeply and enlighten something in your hearts, mind, body and souls.
Let America Be America By:
Langston Hughes
Let America be America again.
Let it be the dream it used to be.
Let it be the pioneer on the plain
Seeking a home where he himself is free.
(America never was America to me.)
Let America be the dream the dreamers dreamed—
Let it be that great strong land of love
Where never kings connive nor tyrants scheme
That any man be crushed by one above.
(It never was America to me.)
O, let my land be a land where Liberty
Is crowned with no false patriotic wreath,
But opportunity is real, and life is free,
Equality is in the air we breathe.
(There’s never been equality for me,
Nor freedom in this “homeland of the free.”)
Say, who are you that mumbles in the dark?
And who are you that draws your veil across the stars?
I am the poor white, fooled and pushed apart,
I am the Negro bearing slavery’s scars.
I am the red man driven from the land,
I am the immigrant clutching the hope I seek—
And finding only the same old stupid plan
Of dog eat dog, of mighty crush the weak.
I am the young man, full of strength and hope,
Tangled in that ancient endless chain
Of profit, power, gain, of grab the land!
Of grab the gold! Of grab the ways of satisfying need!
Of work the men! Of take the pay!
Of owning everything for one’s own greed!
I am the farmer, bondsman to the soil.
I am the worker sold to the machine.
I am the Negro, servant to you all.
I am the people, humble, hungry, mean—
Hungry yet today despite the dream.
Beaten yet today—O, Pioneers!
I am the man who never got ahead,
The poorest worker bartered through the years.
Yet I’m the one who dreamt our basic dream
In the Old World while still a serf of kings,
Who dreamt a dream so strong, so brave, so true,
That even yet its mighty daring sings
In every brick and stone, in every furrow turned
That’s made America the land it has become.
O, I’m the man who sailed those early seas
In search of what I meant to be my home—
For I’m the one who left dark Ireland’s shore,
And Poland’s plain, and England’s grassy lea,

And torn from Black Africa’s strand I came
To build a “homeland of the free.”
The free?
Who said the free? Not me?
Surely not me? The millions on relief today?
The millions shot down when we strike?
The millions who have nothing for our pay?
For all the dreams we’ve dreamed
And all the songs we’ve sung
And all the hopes we’ve held
And all the flags we’ve hung,
The millions who have nothing for our pay—
Except the dream that’s almost dead today.
O, let America be America again—
The land that never has been yet—
And yet must be—the land where every man is free.
The land that’s mine—the poor man’s, Indian’s, Negro’s, ME—
Who made America,
Whose sweat and blood, whose faith and pain,
Whose hand at the foundry, whose plow in the rain,
Must bring back our mighty dream again.
Sure, call me any ugly name you choose—
The steel of freedom does not stain.
From those who live like leeches on the people’s lives,
We must take back our land again,
America!
O, yes,
I say it plain,
America never was America to me,
And yet I swear this oath—
America will be!
Out of the rack and ruin of our gangster death,
The rape and rot of graft, and stealth, and lies,
We, the people, must redeem
The land, the mines, the plants, the rivers.
The mountains and the endless plain—
All, all the stretch of these great green states—
And make America again!
We to America
by James Weldon Johnson
How would you have us, as we are—
Or sinking ‘neath the load we bear?
Our eyes fixed forward on a star—
Or gazing empty at despair?
Rising or falling? Men or things?
With dragging pace or footsteps fleet?
Strong, willing sinews in your wings?
Or tightening chains about your feet?
In Closing:
As this concludes our last Black history segment of this month it does not stop our making of history and defining our culture within our hearts and communities. I pray during this month you have been empowered not just by the symbolic messaging but by knowing your voice matters, you’ve defined the odds and our community needs us. May God continue to use us all as vessels for his Kingdom and remind us although society counted us out, oppressed us and depicted as horrific beings our pain and sufferings will not hold more value than our victory. God defines our story NOT man
