Fellow Believers,

How often do you find yourself being intentional with how you

follow Christ? As a believer, most of us understand there is

nothing that occurs coincidentally. In John 4, Jesus’ meeting

the woman at the well was destined to happen so that she may be restored and it shows us how everything, whether big or small is intentional with God. 

When we find ourselves living life solely for our own desires rather than God’s, he often has to put us in places or situations when Jesus can meet us at our brokenness. In John 4:13, Jesus tells us “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” This is a promise we have that living water from Jesus offers peace and provides eternal water. As followers of Christ, we go back to the well to get healed, for strength and help. Don’t find yourself so absorbed with the desires you want that you forget to seek Him first.

The goal isn’t for us to be used how we see fit but for God to use us in the right way. We must find ourselves returning to the well daily, not just during times of trials and trouble. Fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, remember we have a duty to seek Christ in all our ways and lean on him for understanding. This requires us to go in for a constant refilling.  God has a desire to replenish us, so when you find yourself in the midst of feeling lost, never forget that when you find Him, you will also find eternal living water that quenches our every thirst.
