Followers of Christ,

 

Imagine if God only answered us based on how often we

praised him. Would you still have everything you’ve asked of

him if that was the case? Too often we see fellow believers

wait or only rejoice after the storm is over. However, what about when you find yourself in the midst of it? Our praise shouldn’t be conditional, based upon the outcome of things. 

 

          When we praise God, it’s about an intentional praise, demonstrating to him that we already have faith and trust in him that he in fact will fulfill his promises and everything we’ve asked for in prayer. There is a command for us to praise him through it all. The Bible tells us “let everything that has breathe praise the Lord,” it doesn’t say only when your circumstances are in your favor. As believers, our praise is our weapon and we must use it for battle. It has the ability to shift the atmosphere and confuse the enemy. When you find yourself feeling defeated, uncertain or weary, let that be your reminder to praise God for deliverance, breakthrough and abundance.

 

        Instead of focusing on your adversity, shift that focus towards God and his word. Our praise cannot be conditional, but must be daily. Even when our days don’t look exactly how we desire, there is an obligation for us to praise him in the midst of praying. So brothers and sisters, keep your focus on God by believing in his word and promises. And remember to always take time for a praise break!
