Fellow Christians,

How often do you think about how much time you spend with

God?  Do you ever consider how quality time affects your

relationship with God, which makes a huge difference in your

alignment with Him and the anointing in your life?  David

compares alignment to the oil poured on Aaron’s beard, which flows to the church body. He speaks of the value of alignment in relation to anointing, authority and blessings. Many believers desire the anointing but fail in aligning themselves with God.  Throughout scripture, the anointing was something to be treasured because it is a powerful gift from God that enables believers to do what they could not do on their own.

Amos 3:3, says “Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?” God chose us, but we must choose to walk in agreement with Him, because proper alignment is a byproduct of unity which David speaks of in Psalm 133.  Alignment only occurs when we are one in spirit, purpose, and vision with God’s plan. Where there is no alignment, the anointing is unable to flow freely and the supernatural is hindered.

David understood the importance of alignment and even though he was anointed future king, refused to operate misaligned authority against King Saul. As believers, we must remember our anointing is always subject to the authority of God.  When vision and leadership lack alignment, there is a temptation to operate without God’s authority. True anointing is released by the Spirit when there is alignment with God’s will and purpose. David understood this, for even when he sinned, he begged God not to take his anointing.

As Christians we were created to fulfill God’s divine plans and purposes, and the anointing empowers us to accomplish all that He tasks us to do.  Let us, therefore, align ourselves with God, allowing the anointing to flow in and through us so that God’s will is done.
