Fellow Christians, 

    When most consider what it means to be empty, they

assume it relates to being alone, isolated, lacking in or

containing nothing. However, when the women reached the

tomb discovering it was empty, this demonstrated a new found meaning and perspective in Christ. This allowed everyone to witness just how Jesus conquered death and his authority over the living and the dead. But there was a mission Jesus was set on in order to complete and fulfilled his destiny for the glory of  God.

    Similar to most believers, when they saw him missing and the tomb empty, their emotions immediately were confusion on the emptiness with disappointment. Grief filled their spirits not understanding Christ had defeated death by resurrecting and guaranteeing our victory over sin. When we lack faith and maneuver off only what our physical eyes are expected to see rather than spiritual eyes, we often can miss the mission at hand. The empty tomb gave us a promise to eternal life with Christ and hope beyond this world.

    As believers, we must be reminded of his sacrifice daily and allow it to be our reason why we must never lack in zeal for Christ. He’s already proven himself worthy and glorious to us then and now. There is an obligation for us to walk by faith and not by sight. An empty tomb does not equal lacking purpose. God knows the plans and purpose he has for us all and expects us to follow his commands and instructions to complete it. Let your love for Christ forever be unwavering that you continue to choose him daily throughout your journey.
