Scripture:  Isaiah 40:31

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Reverend Dianne Taybron Suggs

Pastor

Reverend Dianne Taybron Suggs is a native Carolinian and a product of the Durham Public School System.  She is a graduate of United Christian College, where she earned a Bachelor of Theology Degree in Christian Education and Biblical Studies. Reverend Suggs served for many years as an instructor at United Christian College.

She is a practical preacher and teacher of the Word, with a message of hope and restoration.  She is a soul winner and disciple for Christ, called by God to minister to the broken in spirit and those behind prison walls.

Reverend Suggs is the founder of “Workers in God’s Service,” known as WinGS, Inc., birthed in 2004 as a Christian, faith-based non-profit organization.  WinGS is a venue that promotes spiritual maturity, physical and emotional healing and the enhancement of the gift of serving through Evangelism and Community Outreach.

After many years of avoidance, she accepted her call to Pastorship and began conducting worship services in January 2017.  WinGS Outreach and Worship is a non-denominational church.

Though her personal accomplishments, acknowledgements and awards are many, her ultimate desire is to be known and remembered as a woman with a heart to serve God and His people with a "Spirit of Excellence."  With over twenty-five years of experience in the financial field, she has been granted many platforms to educate and instruct in the area of "Stewardship, as a way of Life."

Reverend Suggs' life reflects her message of completeness as she balances ministry responsibilities with her duties as a wife to Charles C. Suggs for over thirty years, mother of three and proud grandmother of five.

Scripture:  Philippians 4:13

"I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”

BIBLE STUDY

Why is weekly Bible Study beneficial?  Bible Study provides the foundation for your faith, gives you an avenue to ask questions and participate in discussions; but most importantly teaches you how to have a relationship with Christ and live a Christ-centered life.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:15

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

April 24, 2024 Weekly Notes

_______________________________________________________________________

04-21-24 heal.png
Have you ever thought to yourself, as Christians, why is it so hard
for us to go to God when we need healing? Think about it; we’re
quick to run to our nearest urgent care or primary physician the
second we show signs of any sickness or pain in our physical body
but when it comes to our spiritual healing, there’s always a sense
of reluctance.
Oftentimes, we take for granted God’s healing power until we’re in
desperate need of it and He’s not moving on our time frame.
In Acts 9:32-42 God used Peter to heal the paralyzed man and raise the dead so that His word would be fulfilled. God used Peter who himself had to be healed, restored and empowered to perform healing miracles that would result in leading others to believe.
If Peter would have avoided his need for healing or skipped steps that caused him not to be re-inducted into the office of discipleship, God would not have entrusted him with His sheep. Peter would not have been trustworthy enough or empowered to heal Aeneas or deliver Tabitha from the hands of death.
Imagine if Peter would have decided to just remain spiritually sick. When we are sick, our life isn’t what it could be, nor what God destined it to be. Fulfilling our purpose requires us to be healed physically and spiritually. God can and will heal you of everything that hurts but he needs you to come to Him with a willing heart. Peter went from denying Jesus three times to expressing his agape love for Jesus three times.
Why are fellow believers so willing to stay in their denial stage? Here’s a short answer … because it’s convenient. Being stagnant in your spiritual healing doesn’t require accountability or commitment. It’s easier to remain sick than seek treatment, but at what cost? God wants to use YOU for many forms of healing, but He first needs you to seek healing. How can you be used to heal the sick when you are content staying sick yourself? Untreated illness can kill you physically and spiritually, but today’s Christians seem to only care about their physical bodies.
Illness can slow you down and we tend to forget there’s a purpose for every “NO” in your life. God sometimes has to slow us down in order to open our eyes to the fact that we need healing and there’s no more running away from it. To receive your healing sometimes means you have to send people out of your hospital room and trust God will have something and someone new in your waiting room. Healing is not something you just seek with your mouth, but it must be within your heart.
Brothers and sisters, we must trust God for healing and spiritual resurrection in our lives. Whatever the sickness is, God’s got the answer, but we must release it to Him fully. That means, the days of seeking treatment and running straight back to what infected us are gone. The goal of healing is to stay healed in order to reach empowerment after being restored from our place of brokenness. God is the most qualified and knowledgeable doctor we could ever seek. Our prayer should be to remain healed in every aspect of our lives. So. remember the prayers of the righteous prevail, and leave your sickness behind you and strive for your spiritual wellness to be increased.

Respectfully Submitted,

Sis. Niya J. Montgomery

11-22-23 Prayer changes things.png

Father, we thank you for your love and for your healing power. We acknowledge that we are broken, and we cry out to you for physical and spiritual healing. Our desire is to be used by you and to fulfill our destiny but how can we serve you and others if we are broken? We lay at your feet and ask for complete healing in every area of our lives. Our ultimate desire is to be healed, restored, and empowered to serve in the advancement of your Kingdom. So, we put our lives in your hands. Have your way in us. This we pray in the mighty name of Jesus.
